Finally…

Demonstration_cluster_bomb - smallIt’s taken nearly three years, more than twenty dead civilians and hundreds of injuries (many involving lost limbs), but Israel has finally released the maps that show where all the cluster bombs were fired during the 2006 July war. Not only were these munitions (a million of which remained unexploded after the war) aimed at civilian populated areas, but the vast majority of the cluster bombs were fired in the last 72 hours of the war, when Israel knew a cease-fire was imminent:

“What’s shocking and completely immoral is: 90% of the cluster bomb strikes occurred in the last 72 hours of the conflict, when we knew there would be a resolution,” [UN humanitarian chief Jan Egeland] said.
