Radio silence

Sorry for the lack of posting here. I’ve been swamped with overdue grading, so I’ve been trying to crack down and get the work done for the end of the semester. I’m sure I won’t be able to resist posting some on Sunday during the elections, so you can expect something then. In the meantime, here are a couple of things I’ve been reading or listening to today while procrastinating:

Al-Aswany on torture in Egypt

Prothero on Aounists and Hizb supporters

LA Times blog on Lebanese election ads

Le Monde Diplo on “natural growth” and the Crif’s take on Jerusalem

This American Life on turncoats

Seed Magazine roundtable on water and conflict

Reuters on death of Nimeiri

Jeune Afrique on Kabila
